CommunicAsia is an excellent event. It is well-organised and I found it extremely valuable to hear and discuss the broad spectrum issues of the Asian telecommunications industry. The important connections that we’ve establish and information that we gathered will be crucial for our regulatory think tanks in Africa.

An excellent exhibition that brings together all levels of visitors including practitioners and executives. This event is an industry nexus and the starting place for anyone trying to get a better understanding of the diverse telecommunications scene in Asia.

This is a very good exhibition, Asia’s largest telco show. As Pakistan’s largest Data network operator we always have to come up with innovative offerings for our customers. This is the one stop event for us to see the latest offerings that could meet our strategic needs. Have to say that we were very impressed with the array of satellite systems, metro ethernet and Wimax solutions. Mission accomplished for sourcing all at one go!

I come to CommunicAsia with the intention of meeting specific companies like Netezza, Indian Telcos / Mobile Operators. I attend the event for at least two days, just to discuss business and establish relationships with the companies. I personally feel this year’s show is a lot better than last year’s in terms of the quality of exhibiting companies.

This is our second time at CommunicAsia. We were here at 2006 through a distributor. This year’s turnout is very good. Our goals were clear, to meet with system integrators, VARs and distributors and have had a couple of very good leads. Our intention was to meet with Malaysian, Indonesia or Vietnamese partners but we have had some very interested parties from the Middle East and Africa, which surpassed our expectations. CommunicAsia definitely has the right mix of attendees for us and we would most likely be returning next year.

CommunicAsia is an important show that any player in the industry has to take part in if they want to reach out to the market in the Asia Pacific region. It is for this reason primarily that ST Electronics has been participating in the show year after year. The good coverage of industry representatives from the region allows us to maintain strategic market presence with entities that we are already doing business with and also potential business partners that we have engaged with through the show.

GlobeCast announced two major developments with regard to our Asian expansion at CommunicAsia. We are selective in the regional shows that we participate in and with CommunicAsia being Asia-focused and the primary trade show for broadcast in this region drawing international attention to this part of the world, it is a relevant and ideal show for us especially as GlobeCast is uniquely positioned between telecoms and broadcast.

This would be the second year that POSDATA is taking part in the show. While we participate in other smaller trade events, CommunicAsia – being the largest event of its kind in Asia – is unique in that it provides the necessary critical mass for their brand building objectives and for them to access the market in the region.
