| |
| The 4-day Summit will kick off in 2009 with a Visionary Address by Scott Goodstein, External Online Director for Barack Obama’s Presidential Campaign. Then the highly regarded CEO Perspectives will discuss “The Silver Lining – Downturn-Driven Opportunities for Asia Operators”. |
| |
| There will be 3 key tracks addressing infrastructure technologies and application solutions: |
| |
Mobile Services & Business Models (16 – 17 June)
The evolution of mobile services and applications is occurring rapidly with the first generation of technology-immersed employees who grew up in the age of mobile phones, laptops, MySpace, Facebook, and they want high-speed, on-demand access. Operators need to be ahead of this growing group of users with an insatiable appetite for new mobile services and applications – What business models will maximize revenue? What are the commercially viable applications happening now, and what are the mobile generation “rules” for application adoption? This track includes discussions on these key issues, and a spotlight on doing business in Asia’s mobile world. |
| |
Network Enablers & Architectures (16 – 17 June)
This track offers an overview of all the issues which operators face in running their networks – from VoIP and Open Source which have put voice applications in reach of anyone, to device management and service delivery platforms which are needed to execute an expanding telecoms business model. A new generation of telco’s known as Telco 2.0 is emerging as the telecommunications industry embraces the principles of Web 2.0 and technologies and services from the internet world. |
| |
Next Generation Broadband Forum (17 – 18 June)
The rollout of Next Generation broadband networks has picked up pace as operators seek to meet the increasing consumer demand for bandwidth connectivity. One of the recent significant developments in the global broadband landscape is the emergence of national broadband networks as governments recognise the potential of infocomm technology to drive economic growth and competitiveness. Who are the stakeholders in the broadband market? What are the strategies and business models for operators? Join this forum to review latest developments in broadband technologies, and how they can meet the future requirements of the broadband consumer, who will choose open platforms to access new applications through next generation networks in an on-demand basis. |

IPTV (19 June)
IPTV has been deployed the world over, with few hits and some misses. This session will have a focus on IPTV deployments in Asia, as the region recognizes that IPTV isn’t solely about TV, but about bringing a new level of interactivity, personalization, and service hosting to consumers using the IPTV network as delivery channel.
